Adobe Web Photo Gallery

Site building - Wales 1774 or 1777 details

Wales 1774 or 1777 details
today I intended to continue with adding to that page

Instead I added navigation arrows to about 30 pages on Pitzner Jørgensen slægtssider

I started off experimenting in the sandbox
Index of /~hedvig/sandkassen sand - case - the

first I made this arrows quick and nasty test page
by copying some html from an Adobe Web Photo Gallery on my desktop

and of course editing in FileManger
it to produce some boiler-plate html which worked
this is the first time I began to experiment with relative URI

then I went to Homepage of Hugh Watkins
to try and ftp the whole album up

got the images done OK Index of /~hugh/photoalbum_test/images

dsc00011.jpg">test shot of wine glass not the URI is all lower case

but Adobe Adobe Web Photo Gallery used capital lettters DSC00011.jpg so it is broken until I use a find and change DSC to dsc

what you call a learning curve

Index of /~hugh/photoalbum_test/pages is the subdirectory

seems to work OK supposed to be html on this server

arrow doesn't work

DSC00013 is the target

then I need to add titles to all the photos

RootsWeb: Freepages-Help-L Re: Web pictures is my best attempt yet at a cook book of how to create a new web page

in answer to:-
My problem at the moment is that I do not know how to create more than one page so I have everything on the same page. I would very much like to create additional pages and add a lot more info on my web site but do not know howto do this yet. I have "links" to other sites but do not know how to get additional pages on my site. Any suggestions or direction on doing this would be greatly appreciated.

My name is Misty LADD Flannigan. I began research on my Ladd's about ten years ago when my father showed a great interest in his ancestors. He was full of stories and memories and loved to talk about the LADD'S!! I dedicate this page to my father in his memory:

Parry, Heskins, Mudon, Pothecary, Shobbrook, Perriam, Stoneman, Fell, Drew, Richens and associated families: "My name is Adrian Parry and I was born in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire which, it seems, just happened to have a maternity hospital. My parents lived in Calne, where I spent the early years of my life.

My parents were William Oswell PARRY, who was born in Aberdare, Glamorgan, on 6 November 1911, and Violet Irene SHOBBROOK, who was born in Bath, Somerset , on 16 September 1912.
They were married in Castle St Baptist Church, Calne on 7 August 1939.

I began to research the history of my family in May 1999 and I very quickly came to the conclusion that it was one task that would never be completed! "

The W3C CSS Validation Service

-- the W3C CSS Validation Service; a free service that checks Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) in (X)HTML documents or standalone for conformance to W3C recommendations.

Note: If you want to validate your CSS style sheet embedded in an (X)HTML document, you should first check that the (X)HTML you use is valid.

then I found Simple CSS — A Free CSS Authoring Tool
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a good way to specify the styles of fonts and other page elements on your sites. It makes it easier for you to update styles too, because when done right, you only need to make a single change to update the styles on multiple pages and elements.

Another bonus is that your visitor's browser needs to load less data per page, helping you reduce your data transfer usage while serving the same information. That means you'll be able to accommodate more site visitors without having to spend more on data transfer. Your pages will also load faster.

To help you work with CSS, we've created a free tool called Simple CSS, which runs on Macs, Windows and Linux. Simple CSS allows you to easily create Cascading Style Sheets from scratch, and/or modify existing ones, using a familiar point-and-click interface.

With Simple CSS, you can manage multiple CSS projects and import your existing style sheets. Simple CSS supports CSS2.

In 1998, our company - Refsnes Data - made a very controversial decision. We decided to quit most of our current jobs to start and develop an Internet Developers Portal.

When we created W3Schools, we wanted it to be completely free and we are doing our best to keep it that way.

The costs of running this site and the costs of writing the tutorials, are covered by sponsors, but we will always try to keep the number of advertisements as low as possible.
